VICE PRESIDENT, ASSOCIATE GENERAL COUNSEL FOR PROVIDENCE ST. JOSEPH HEALTH

Yemi is Vice President, Associate General Counsel for Providence St. Joseph Health. Yemi jointed St. Joseph Health System’s Legal Department in August 2015 and provides legal services to the Northern California region, particularly related to hospital operations, physician practices, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance (including Federal and State fraud and abuse laws), corporate compliance and other healthcare-related areas. She graduated from Syracuse University School of Law in 2004. In addition, Yemi has a Master of Business Administration from Ohio University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kansas. She is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Missouri, and is Registered In-House Counsel for California.

Yemi serves as a board member for the following organizations: Thurgood Marshall Bar Association, the Wright Institute Los Angeles, and the C.H.A. Education Fund, Inc. She is also a member of the Orange County Asian American Bar Association and the American Health Lawyers Association.

MOLLY CAHAN, PSY.D., chairperson

PSYCHOLOGIST IN PRIVATE PRACTICE

Molly is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with a private practice in West Los Angeles. She did her undergraduate studies and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Brown University. She then worked with at-risk children and their families at Hathaway Children & Family Services before earning her Master of Arts and Doctor of Psychology degrees from the California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles. She continued with her psychological training at WILA where she completed a two-year certificate program in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy focusing on long-term, insight-oriented therapy. During her Psychological Assistantship working with families and children, Molly performed psychological evaluations and assessments.

Molly served as the President of the WILA Alumni Association for two years and continues to be a member of the Alumni Board while working as the Chair of the Board of Directors. With her broad training background, Molly views WILA as the place that aligns most closely with how she believes therapy can transform peoples lives and is incredibly proud to be a WILA advocate and supporter.

GRACE HAZELTINE, PSY.D., ALUMNI ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT

PSYCHOLOGIST IN PRIVATE PRACTICE

Grace is a psychotherapist in private practice in Culver City, CA, where she practices with adults, adolescents, and couples. In addition to being President of WILA’s Alumni Association Board and Chair of the Continuing Education Committee, Grace is Co-Chair of LACPA’s Arts, Creativity, and Culture Committee and adjunct faculty at Reiss-Davis Graduate School.

LISA OSBORN, PSY.D.

PSYCHOLOGIST IN PRIVATE PRACTICE

Lisa is a clinical psychologist specializing in maternal mental health, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and reproductive trauma. She also specializes in couple therapy and parenting. She proudly serves on the boards of Maternal Mental Health Now and Wright Institute Los Angeles.

Lisa served for eight years on the Board of Los Angeles County Psychological Association as its 2016 President and Chair of its Governmental Affairs Committee. She is an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University and Wright Institute Los Angeles.

KATE PETROSKY, PSY.D.

PSYCHOLOGIST IN PRIVATE PRACTICE

Kate is a clinical psychologist in private practice. She has a variety of interests including: the challenges associated with gifted children and parenting, experiences of infertility, mood and anxiety disorders, life transitions, early motherhood and relationship dynamics.

Kate is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara and the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. She did her pre- and post-doctoral training here at Wright Institute Los Angeles. In addition, Kate is a trained SENG (Supporting the Emotional Needs of the Gifted) Model Parent Group facilitator.

STEPHEN PHILLIPS, J.D., PSY.D., PAST CHAIRPERSON

PSYCHOLOGIST IN PRIVATE PRACTICE

Stephen is a licensed psychologist in Beverly Hills (PSY17868). He performs individual and couples therapy and practices civil and criminal forensics. Stephen is a Past President of the Los Angeles County Psychological Association and a former member of the California Psychological Association’s Ethics Committee.

In 2013, Stephen was appointed to the California Board of Psychology, the licensing and regulatory board for psychologists, by Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr. In 2016, he became President of the Board of Psychology. He is a frequent forensic consultant and expert in criminal and civil matters, primarily in federal court. He enjoys faculty appointments at the California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles and Wright Institute Los Angeles. Prior to entering clinical psychology, Stephen was a partner in a Century City law firm. He is a member of the California State Bar (SBN101223).

TERRY SIMPSON, PSY.D.

PSYCHOLOGIST IN PRIVATE PRACTICE

Terry has been a Board Member since 2015, following his appointment as Director of Practice Development, during which he assisted WILA with the transitions taking place given the impact of the Affordable Care Act. He currently maintains a thriving private practice in Beverly Hills, specializing in anxiety symptomology and eating disorders, and is an adjunct faculty member of Antioch University, Los Angeles.

Terry is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA), and the Society for Neuropsychoanalysis. As a WILA alumnus, Terry continually strives to promote the importance of WILA throughout Los Angeles and Southern California.
