At WILA we believe everyone deserves access to high-quality mental health care, regardless of their financial circumstances, cultural background, or systemic challenges.

As a non-profit therapy clinic, WILA is at the forefront of a movement to transform how mental health services are delivered—ensuring they are not just accessible, but also inclusive, affordable and provided by highly trained clinicians.

WILA’s mission is clear: to serve the diverse communities of Los Angeles by providing affordable psychoanalytic psychotherapy services while training the next generation of socially-conscious mental health professionals—when people feel empowered to tell their stories and understand themselves, they can have a farther-reaching and positive impact on the people around them and the greater community. But to continue to carry out this mission, we need your support.

Mental health challenges affect millions and after the collective trauma of the COVID-19 pandemic, social isolation and rising costs of daily living, many people both need access to and struggle to access affordable and effective mental health care. High costs for treatment, stigma, and lack of culturally competent care are among the many challenges that often prevent people from seeking the help they need. For many Angelenos, these challenges can feel insurmountable.

WILA is committed to breaking down these barriers.

Through sliding-scale fees and culturally sensitive care, we create a safe and welcoming space for individuals, couples, and families. By supporting WILA, you are not just helping to support the individuals we treat—you are strengthening the fabric of our community by helping to maintain the level of care we strive to provide.

WILA doesn’t just serve clients; we also shape the future of mental health care. Our clinic doubles as a training ground for socially conscious therapists who are passionate about equity and inclusion. WILA therapists are highly trained individuals who receive specialized supervision from a skilled and diverse panel of over 40 supervisors. WILA provides a total of over 6,500 hours of supervision per year and has trained 700 mental health professionals thus far. To continue the quality of training that WILA provides its therapists, and to offer the highest level of care for our patients, we need your support. Our hope is that, with your continued support, we can continue to provide our therapists with the highest level of training so that they may carry out our mission as leading mental health providers in the community.

By investing in WILA, you are helping us prepare these emerging leaders to address the complex and ever-evolving mental health needs of our society.

Your contributions make our work possible. Every dollar raised helps us provide therapy to individuals and families who otherwise couldn’t afford it, expand the reach of psychoanalytic psychotherapy—a modality that has historically been out of reach for many—and support the training and supervision of our current and future therapists.

With your help, WILA can continue to break down financial, cultural, and systemic barriers to care, ensuring that no one must face their struggles alone.

By donating to WILA, you’re not just supporting a therapy clinic—you’re becoming part of a movement to change how mental health care is delivered, who it’s for, and what it means to truly serve a community.
